Ken Arai (a la i.)

2003年、transluvでデビュー。

​

以来、西野カナ、KAT-TUN、野宮真貴、LiSA、DOUBLE、Ryohei、moumoon、リア・ディゾン、MAX、Olivia Ong、Cover Lover Projectなど、数多くのアーティストのプロデュース、

プログラミング、アレンジ、リミックス、楽曲提供を手がける。

自身のアーティスト活動では、これまでに18枚のオリジナルアルバムと43枚のシングルをリリース。エレクトロニック・ミュージックを軸に、ジャンルにとらわれない独自のサウンドを追求

している。

​

また、劇伴作家としても幅広く活動。

フジテレビ『東京リトル・ラブ』『鍵のかかった部屋』『ラストホープ』『失恋ショコラティエ』『トレース～科捜研の男～』『ミステリと言う勿れ』、

日本テレビ『寄生獣 -セイの格率-』『トドメの接吻』『マル秘の密子さん』、

TOKYO MX『スタミュ』『Opus.COLORs』、Netflix『宇宙を駆けるよだか』、

NHK『ピングー in ザ・シティ』『卒業タイムリミット』など、数々の映像作品の音楽を担当。

映画『ミステリと言う勿れ』では、自身初となる映画音楽を手がけ、大ヒットを記録した。

​

自身が主宰するレーベル「Addicted Tokyo」からは、a la i.名義での作品もリリース。

クラブミュージックを軸としたその作品は、国内外のDJからも高い支持を集めている。

 

2026年9月3日には、通算44枚目となるニューシングル『Ain't Nobody』をリリース予定。

DJではEDM、エレクトロハウスを中心に、カッティングエッジでアグレッシブなミックススタイルが特徴。

​

デビュー23年目を迎えた現在も、自身のアーティスト作品の制作を軸に、ドラマ・映画・CMなどのサウンドトラックから、アーティストプロデュース、楽曲提供、リミックスまで幅広く手がけ、音楽シーンの第一線で多彩なプロデュースワークを展開している。

Ken Arai made his debut in 2003 as transluv.

Since then, he has established himself as a leading producer, programmer, arranger, remixer, and songwriter, working with numerous acclaimed artists including Kana Nishino, KAT-TUN, Maki Nomiya, LiSA, DOUBLE, Ryohei, moumoon, Leah Dizon, MAX, Olivia Ong, and Cover Lover Project.

As a solo artist, Ken Arai has released 18 original albums and 43 singles to date. His music is rooted in electronic music while constantly exploring a diverse range of sounds and genres.

​

He is also widely recognized for his work as a composer for film and television. His credits include numerous acclaimed productions such as Fuji TV's Tokyo Little Love, Kagi no Kakatta Heya (The Locked Room), Last Hope, Shitsuren Chocolatier, Trace: Kasouken no Otoko, and Mystery to Iu Nakare; Nippon TV's Parasyte -the maxim-, Todome no Kiss, and Maruhi no Mitsuko-san; TOKYO MX's Starmyu and Opus.COLORs; Netflix's Switched; and NHK's Pingu in the City and Graduation Time Limit.

 

For the feature film Don't Call It Mystery, Ken Arai composed the film's score, marking his first venture into feature film music. The film went on to become a major box-office success.

Through his own label, Addicted Tokyo, he releases music under the artist name a la i.

His electronic and club-oriented productions have earned strong support from DJs both in Japan and internationally.

​

On September 3, 2026, he is set to release his 44th single, Ain't Nobody.

​

As a DJ, Ken Arai focuses primarily on EDM, electro house music, delivering a cutting-edge, aggressive mixing style characterized by dynamic energy and a distinctive electronic sound.

 

Now in his 23rd year since his debut, Ken Arai continues to work across a broad spectrum of music production—from his own artist releases to soundtracks for film, television, and commercials, as well as artist production, songwriting, arranging, and remix work—bringing his distinctive sound and versatility to every project.
